i trying create restlet in can detail of field in netsuite.i have tried following code details.when run restlet calling external url error as:

error code: unexpected_error error message:typeerror: cannot call method "gettype" of null (login.js$12762#16)

i using following code

function getrestlet(datain) {      var field = nlapigetfield('custitem_cipp');   // specifiy internalid of field         return field.gettype(); }

fields on record, when restlet executes, there no record loaded. need load item record use nlobjrecord.getfield
