How to make it hard for users to download video in html5? -


i know best practices while streaming video in html5. know can't prevent people downloading video, want know ways make harder.

you can use drm protection encrypt video if approach want take.

drm controversial (see firefox discussion @ link below) being baked standards html5 eme (encrypted meida extensions) becoming more mainstream. eme allow browser request trusted (by video producer) element in browser/device decode , play encrypted video. see overview of eme @ second link below.

this approach may allow support download , go use case - i.e. people able view video offline.
