testing - Web Test recorder does not allow me to record a test IE11 windows 7 -


i trying record web performance test using web test recorder 12.00 plugin comes vs 2013.

as can see buttons greyed out , disabled.

i have followed this work around, without luck.

are there restrictions tool?

is known issue?

this known issue. been around years. unfortunately, microsoft has no sure fire method resolve it.

i having issue , find supported solution, not shelling out big bucks 2013 ultimate issue stopping me using web load testing.

the link above contains different "fixes" depending on os , vs version. version 2013 not mentioned. include @ least information following quotes extracts michael taute (msft) post:

vsts 2005: vista:  recorder bar displays, controls disabled.  fix:  webtest recording using vs 2005 on vista works when running in elevated mode.  [when launching vs 2005, right click icon , choose run administrator]

or 

vsts 2005, 2008: windows 2003/vista:  recorder bar comes up, controls disabled.  fix: web test recorder bar not work ie enhanced security  enabled.  (vsts 2008 display error message telling  this)  ie enhanced security can removed within control  panel / add remove programs / windows setup

or 

vsts 2005, 2008, 2010 beta 1: windows 7:  when launching recorder, recorder bar not appear  fix:  windows 7 security model different previous versions of windows. (go figure :)    recorder show up, you’ll have run visual studio  in elevated mode.
