chromecast - Receiver app code testing -


i looking best way test receiver app code. know if there way have non-production version of receiver app code running, not visible users, can test new functionalities without possibly breaking others live , in production. far have been doing trial , error small snippets, far optimal.

my final goal able create different git branches of code, can test on chromecast not visible public.

one approach create app id used testing/development; long not publish app id, no other device registered devices can see app.
