Is neoj4 2.2.2 supporting java 8?, error on neo4j/bin/utils script -


we testing neo4j 2.2.2 java 8u45 seeing error when start neo4j.

error! neo4j cannot started using java version 1.8.0_45.
* please use oracle(r) java(tm) 7 run neo4j server. download "java platform (jdk) 7" from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
* please see http://docs.neo4j.org/ neo4j server installation instructions.

still database starts, question is: error message bug or should revert java 8 version 7.

it says should use java 7. system requirement, enforced library.

but release notes on http://docs.neo4j.org/ say:

neo4j 2.2.2 maintenance release, critical improvements. notably, release: provides full support oracle , openjdk java 8.

so either there's mistake in documentation, or (more likely) forgot update compatibility check utility. send them message on problem.
