svn - Does the source repository need to be locked during svnsync? -

i'm using svnsync migrate (large) repository new server. started running last night. got 1/3 of way through before network timeout interrupted it. resumed sync morning, it'll run during day.

since people still need work, there problem if people continue commit source repository while synchronize operation running?

no, doesn't.

i dug around on interwebs, couldn't find reference. decided take risk , try it. commit went through , svnsync continued run without apparent problems.

however: sync stop before gets latest revision. example: suppose, when start synchronizing, last revision 100. during synchronize operation, commit r101. in case, svnsync stop @ revision 100. thus, need re-run svnsync last remaining revision.
