javascript - redirecting php file regardless of what is typed after url -


i new php, javascript , languages involved in creating website. wondering how redirect no mater type after given url i.e. when type else after following url using custom rewrite rules in wordpress, redirects me same site. how accomplished?

add following .htccess file , redirect pages on domain http://newdomain.com/page.html 

rewriteengine on rewriterule (.*) http://www.newdomain.com/page.html [r=301,l]

or if want redirect pages in folder on domain type:

redirect 301 /yourfolder    http://www.newdomain.com/page.html
