wifi - Unable to get all necessary headers because cannot set the interface correctly to monitor mode -


i want rssi 'wifi probe requests' (when searching wifi hotspots) have been unable necessary headers. using scapy on firmware flashed on d-link dir-505 open-wrt compatible router.

on more research on stackoverflow realized problem because of not being able set interface correctly. need in setting monitor mode on interface on router has limited space.

the mode dose not depend on limited space of router, on driver. have set monitor mode on openwrt router (wndr3700v4) using iw. , tcpdump packet capture. may refer link
